音頻硬件術語解釋
ASIO——壹種規範，符合該標準的聲卡，用CubaseVST 等軟件進行多軌錄音和使用實時音頻效果器處理以及使用虛擬樂器時，將會表現出“零延遲”的優良性能。
GSIF——Giga Sampler/Studio Interface的縮寫，在符合該標準的聲卡上運行軟件采樣器Giga Sampler/Studio時，將會有出色的表現。
MME——該標準可保證聲卡產品能夠在所有版本的Windows9X中正常使用。
DirectSound——符合該標準的聲卡將兼容於各種以DirectX為標準的軟件，例如順利運行各種遊戲軟件和多媒體教學軟件等。
WDM——這是微軟最新制定的Windows驅動程序，在Win98 SE以後版本的Windows平臺中使用符合該驅動標準的聲卡，將能有效地降低音頻流的延遲時間。CakeWalk Sonar也專門針對WDM驅動做了優化處理。
EWDM——由韓國EgoSys公司提出，被稱為“萬能驅動”，它是建立在微軟的WDM標準基礎上的擴充，它將WDM、MME、DirectSound和ASIO、GSIF合而為壹，用戶在使用符合該驅動標準的聲卡產品時，不需像使用其它專業聲卡那樣，為了不同的應用而必須在各種驅動標準之間進行切換。如果要經常使用CakeWalk Sonar、Giga Studio和各種VSTi音源，那麽具備EWDM驅動的聲卡將是上上之選。
采樣率——指的是對原始聲音波形進行樣本采集的頻繁程度，采樣率越高，記錄下的聲音信號與原始信號之間的差異就越小，采樣率的單位是kHz(千赫茲），專業聲卡通常提供以下幾種采樣率：32/44.1/48/88.2/96kHz。
采樣精度——是指對聲音進行“模擬－數字”變換時，對音量進行度量的精確程序。采樣精度越高，聲音聽起來就細膩，“數碼化”的味道就越不明顯。專業聲卡支持的采樣精度通常包括：16/18/20/24Bits。 失真度——是表征處理後信號與原始波形之間的差異情況，為百分比值。其值越小，說明聲卡越能踏實地記錄或再現音樂作品的原貌。
動態範圍——是指當聲音的增益發生瞬間態突變，也就是當音量驟然或突然毫米波時，設備所有名承受的最大變化範圍。這個數值越大，則表示聲卡的動態範圍越廣，就越能表現出作品的情緒和起伏。
信噪比——指的是有效信號與背底噪聲的比值，由百分比表示，其值越高，則說明因設備本身原因而造成的噪聲越小。
