Blue on White Porcelain Wide-edged Dish with Figures of Ladies, Kangxi Dynasty
Height 4.3 cm, surface diameter 35.6 cm and bottom rim base diameter 21 cm.
盤折沿，淺腹，圈足，足內白釉無款。裏外以青花為飾。盤心與沿面均繪庭園仕女嬉戲圖，空間襯以蕉葉、梅花、垂柳及洞石紋；外沿繪八寶紋，外壁繪變形蕉葉紋壹周。
There is a wide edge around the dish, ventrally shallow and the bottom has a round rim base; the surface within the rim is white glazed but with no wordings. The dish is ornamented with blue on white glaze on the surface and bottom. In the center and on the edge of the dish are painted with drawings of ladies playing in the garden; the empty spaces are lined with banana leaves, plum blossoms, drooping willows and vein patterns of travertine. Underneath the surface of the edge is painted with eight different grain patterns and the exterior of the base is circled by patterns of deformed banana leaves.
此盤青花艷麗明快，畫面環境優美，人物多達13人，但處理得井然有序，疏密相見，主題突出，陪襯得當，仕女衣著華麗，形體優雅，有的坐於洞石上讀書，有的觀花賞景，有的園中漫步，有的泛舟於湖上，畫面充滿祥和美好的意境。
The celadon color on the dish is brightly pretty and the graphic presents a beautiful ambience. There are a total of 13 figures, but they are arranged in orderly fashion, sparse and dense alternatively; the theme is very prominent with apposite collocates. The ladies are wearing gorgeous dresses on their graceful forms; some are sitting on the travertine reading books, some are admiring the scenic beauty, some are taking a stroll in the garden and some are boating on the lake; you can feel a harmonious and auspicious effect from the graphic scene.
