1986年是國際和平年。這壹年的9月25日，世界各國的兒童代表在美國紐約***同簽署了《世界兒童和平條約》。這是兒童的宣言，是全世界兒童向這個世界發出的呼聲——人類偉大的和平事業的呼聲。
1986年9月25日，世界各國的兒童代表***聚紐約，分別代表本國兒童***同簽訂了《兒童和平條約（Children Peace Accords）》，表達世界兒童渴望和平的美好心願。淺顯明白的話語，是全世界兒童至純的心壹起跳動的聲音
三、內容：
We the children of the world declare peace on the future.
We want a planet free of war and weapons,
We want an end to disease, death and destruction.
Hatred and hunger and homelessness make no sense to us,
We want them done away with.
Our earth gives food enough for all – we will share it.
Our skies give us rainbows everywhere – we will keep them clear.
We want to laugh together, play together, work together,
Learn from each other, explore and improve life for everyone.
We are for peace, now and forever, for all.
