dial是舊式的「撥號表盤」，不要碰那撥號表盤的意思，就是「不要轉臺」。壹般是節目主持人對聽眾或觀眾講的口語說法。也可以說 stay tuned，當然也可以更直白地說Don’t go away, we’ll be right back.（不要走開，我們馬上回來。）

媒體相關人員host (n.) / (v.)│主持人；主持（電視或廣播） sports broadcaster│體育播報員
體育播報員可以進壹步分為play-by-play announcer「播報員」和color mentator「球評」，前者負責播報競賽場上的實況，後者則以自身專業經驗補充評論，也經常用sports announcer或sports mentator表達。
